Applications are now being accepted for the 2011 Trojan Cook-off. Anderson University reserves the right for the final selection of cookers/participants.

samples defined as:
Pork: 4-ounce paper tray (MEAT ONLY—NO BREAD)
ANYTHING but Pork: (this category is optional.) YOU will need to prepare samples for 20 people (this number includes the judges).
Ribs: (This category is optional.) Turn in your entry in a 9X9 non-Partioned clam shell box. Turn in eight ribs per team.
Any and all BBQ following your entry will be served to those in attendance from your cooking site. You can keep your ribs following submission to the judges or provide them to the public.
RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Date: Friday October 28th and Saturday, October 29th
2. Time: Judging for Anything But Pork will be on Friday evening and Judging for BBQ and Rib categories starts at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday as indicated on the enclosed schedule. Awards will be announced at 2:00 P.M.
3. Location: Anderson University Athletic Campus: Anderson University, Anderson, SC off Hwy. 29
4. Entry Fees: $250.00 – Includes BBQ and Anything But Pork Categories
Add $50.00 if you want to enter the Ribs Contest
5. Anderson University is proud to offer premier facilities for your cooking needs. The Athletic Campus provides for electric hookups (both 110v and 220v), water connections, and straight connection to city sewer at each power pole. If you would like, you can bring all equipment to the facility, including your RV if you desire to stay on-site. Set-up begins on Friday, October 28th at 9:00 A.M. There will be plenty of space and blacktop area for your use. You must have a suitable water hose for DHEC and any drop cords or accessories needed for your cooking or lodging. Your site must be left in the same shape as you found it and you must depart by 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 29th. Please bring 150 feet of hose and electrical cord with you.
6. All contestants must adhere to all health, electrical, fire and other codes applicable to this event. No alcoholic beverages will be permitted.
7. Canopies are welcomed and encouraged.
8. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Anderson University reserves the right to deny any application at any time.
9. By completing the agreement below, you agree that Anderson University WILL NOT be liable for any loss or damage from any cause.
10. Awards: See attached sheet on rules and awards.
11. Schedule: This event coincides with Anderson University’s Homecoming and Family Day for students, parents, and alumni.
12. One case of refrigerated butts per team will be handed out on arrival. You must provide all materials for the Anything But Pork and Rib categories.
